MISSION
The Humans Being Project (THBP) is a global narrative about people everywhere. Its aim is to communicate the inherent sameness within us, in spite of our vast differences. THBP gives viewers the opportunity to glimpse into the lives of individuals and cultures very different from their own and to find connection there. In creating that connection, we hope to inspire compassion and a deeper appreciation of one’s own humanity— and of all human life.

When traveling to a new country we seek to connect with people who can show us around and get us as dialed into their local communities as possible. This can include logistical help with things such as translation, transportation, lodging, providing info about the area, and making introductions. DAY TO DAY WITH THBP FOUNDER, MERRICK CHASE
My name is Merrick and I travel the planet in order to discover and explore people, communities, cultures and ways of life that are utterly different from my own. I encounter people from all walks of life and tell their stories through imagery in order to provide windows into different worlds and in turn inform and inspire others. My aim is for the imagery and stories you experience here to open you up to what it's like to be somebody else, living a reality that you may have never imagined even existed. Through this opening you may come to see that in spite of our vast differences we have far more in common with one another than you may have thought and we are all a part of the same human family.
